Swedish Massage for relieving stress and promoting relaxation…
This photo is me at the top of Alpe d'Huez in France. (2005) This mountain has been one of the challenges of the Tour de France bike race. It is "Lance's mountain"... a big unending series of switchbacks, leading to the top of the world! It was my first real bike ride... I'm not too familiar with riding a bike but I figured I could always just run alongside and push the bike! So the real question is, I suppose, why go up it at all???
Well... I find that such a physical challenge is very good for my psyche. It clears my head, restores calmness to my life, and allows me to relax. What else can make you feel so phyically relaxed and mentally soothed at the same time?
One of the best ways that I know of is to get a massage. A massage settles the mind by concentrating on the release and relaxation of the muscles of the body. My interest in massage came from my own personal experience of receiving them and my own crude fashion of applying massage techniques to my horses (and occassional human friends) over the years. It always worked!
I attended the Lauterstein/Conway Massage School in Austin, Texas in 2006. I am licensed as an RMT in Texas. The focus of my business is to use Swedish Massage techniques to heal and soothe the stresses of daily life, whether you are a sports person, a studying student, a busy mom, a traveling executive, or anyone else!! Relaxation is healthy for all of us!!
